So I have decided to break down posts from my recent trip to Marrakech into separate posts. In total I took over 500 photos and about 191 made the cut for my facebook album- therefore me dwindling it down to 10 per post each day is slightly a tough task too. I am thinking about setting up an online album for viewing (but thats for another day…)
Day one consisted of early morning travel from London to dusty and humid Marrakech. the trip was nice and lucky for me- I slept most of the way! After arriving at our Riad - Les Lauriers Blancs we were greeted with some nice mint tea and a map. Helpful hints and places to check out where highlighted and Paul and I set our sights on getting lost in the Medina and trying to find the best priced cushion covers I could find! All in all, after day one our mission was succesful. We haggled for 3 cushion covers, all brightly covered for the price of 2 and managed to get lost! Honestly, the medina is a very confusing place and we ran into plenty of people looking at maps and asking questions, but we took that as a chance to get our bearings around the ancient centre and enjoy the sights and sounds of Marrakech.
